Field Trip!

We went on a field trip with some other homeschooling families to the Fire Safety Town in Frisco.

Holy cow!  It’s like a mini town built just for kids with real brick buildings, real (but ‘jeep-sized’) streets with real stop lights and signs.  Patrick, Luke and Andrew had a great time driving around and obeying (sort of) all of the traffic laws.

Joe’s class was on bike safety and he and his pals got to ride around on bicycles once the jeeps were put away.

We are now working hard on memorizing our address and how to dial 911. It’s not as easy as you think for a little kid – they now teach “911 green button” so they can call it on a cordless phone or a cell phone.  I wouldn’t have ever thought of that.  We have to teach “911 TALK button” since it’s not green on our phone.
