200th post!

Since this is our 200th post, we should make it pretty good. Unfortunately, as usual, we only have our fun everyday happenings around here to report. Plus, they're a few days old! What a slacker.
.
Last Thursday, Shannon and I took Kolbe, Libby and Joe to the zoo.
.
Libby "ooo"-ed at the big Jaguar right behind the glass.
.
The Jaguar paced back and forth for 10 minutes, probably licking his chops wanting to snack on our little kiddos. Doesn't Joe look like such a big kid in this picture?

.
The boys really enjoyed riding their animals.
.
Joe was being especially naughty on our trip to the zoo. Every sentence started with a “No!” or “I don’t want to…” Finally, as we were walking to the polar bears, he just decided to plop down on the wet concrete in the middle of the walkway. Remembering my Jim Faye method of ignoring tantrums, I walked away about 50 feet to watch him from behind a building. Within a few seconds, I saw a police officer in a golf cart drive up to him. I was MORTIFIED! The officer glanced around to look for a guardian, and I gave the officer a little sheepish wave. Luckily, he must have had children and understood the battle of wills that was going on.
.
What the . . . ? We were surprised when we found them on top of their playhouse! There was an enormous amount of adventurousness going on the whole week.
